The Trust offers a marriage allowance to eligible families, which can be utilized for various wedding-related expenses, including:
- Wedding Ceremony Costs: Expenses related to the marriage function.
- Attire and Jewelry: Purchasing traditional attire and jewelry for the bride.
- Gifts and Rituals: Cultural gifts and ritualistic items required for the ceremony.
This financial support is aimed at reducing the economic strain on families and ensuring that the marriage is conducted with cultural and social dignity.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Marriage Allowance, the following conditions must be met:
- Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
- Income Limit: The annual family income should not exceed ?72,000.
- Educational Qualification:
- Scheme-I: The bride should have completed at least 10th standard.
- Scheme-II: The bride should be a graduate or diploma holder from a recognized institution.
- Age Criteria: The bride should be at least 18 years old, and the groom should be at least 21 years old at the time of marriage.
Application Timeline: Applications should be submitted 40 days before the wedding.
